1 of 3

I decided to only patio garden this season, if I sell and move, I did not want to leave a ground garden behind. This is 1 of 3 tomato plants. 3 plants will make plenty of tomatoes for table use. This plant produces  a medium size fruit while I have one plant that will produce the sandwich jumbo size,  (you know the kind, one slice covers the entire width of the slice bread or bun).

The scent of Sweet Basil

I love the scent of freshly cut sweet basil. The scent lingers on forever.

Coop @ de Acres

I had not raised any chickens in over 8 years, so a few weeks ago I decided to get some baby chicks. First I had to get a coop. I went to Tractor Supply and purchased a rabbit hutch. The hutch had one inch wire which was not going to work. I left the wire, but attached 1/4" wire cloth to keep the snakes out. I then placed over the hutch bird cloth. Yes, bird cloth does wonders at keeping snakes out of the chicken coop. There is plenty of space for the snakes to roam free and field mice to eat, but in my little space of territory; it is not allowed.

Forever Continues

I am closer to having the bench painted and finished to my  liking. The Colonial Red is a deep red, but still needed to be muddled a little for me. I made up a glaze with Cinnabark paint and it gave the bench a rusty feel to it that should go well with the iron forged legs...........maybe I will find some large thumbtacks and line the bottom apron also...................just thinking out loud!

Next:  to order the forged legs.

Forever

Reflecting back I recall Doug made this bench in 2001 or 02. He made it out of old pine boards used for a crate. It was not supposed to last forever; he made it for fun. It has some wood rot on the feet and I am thinking about taking the legs off and adding forged iron legs; because now I want it to last forever!

Please, don't try to get into my head. It is not available. I am still learning the set up, and once I get going, I will get going!
